i have been putting off doing this post for a few weeks now because i don't even know where to begin. how do you narrow down over 350 pictures from such a moving, inspiring, and life-changing experience? so as a forewarning, there are going to be several collages and even more single pictures. a pictures says a thousand words right?
we flew into Santo Domingo and enjoyed our first 2 1/2 days there. here are some of the things we saw. (take notice to the mannequin's boobies)

we did 5 days of clinics while we were there. if that does not seem like a lot take a look at the preparation alone to setup clinic each day. saying it is a lot of work doesn't do it justice.

tyler and matt each extracted a tooth - here's ty in action

these are some of the things we saw while we were there -
i was fortunate enough to visit the home of a wonderful women named Yocimara who lives about 8 miles up that muddy road. when the road is in this condition she has to walk up it.
her kitchen
their spectacular view
Yocimara, 2 of her kids and 1 grandchild
the people we met along the way touched our hearts. they are what made this an unforgettable experience

and of course i have to give a shout out to Pateo (mi madre) and Mateo (Matt Crane), who made everyday delightful.
Matt
the dear friends we made -
marisa, parti, and steph (we ran the front together)
nate huntsman
rebecca hammond (the little sweetheart of the trip)
maribeth, robyn and sunny
the entire group
at the end of the trip we went to a beautiful resort to wind down for a day. this was the view from our hotel room
we spent the day on an island that was everything you imagine the caribbean to be. secluded, beautiful, soft sand, blue water, etc.
i love the tenderness in the picture. it encompasses all the love, respect and unity we felt for the Dominican people. what an amazing job i have! i can't imagine being anymore blessed than i already am.
