Pat, my hero

One of the best things about living in Salt Lake is the pleasure of attending Pat's sunday dinners. She truly is a gourmet chef. Every person who has eaten a meal of her's can attest to that. This past sunday we had the most scrumptious roasted tomato, caramelized onion, goat cheese tartlet (i have no idea the official name). Behold the beauty of this dish! Homemade pie crust with rosemary and balsamic vinaigrette and fresh basil from her garden drizzled on top. What?! Where did this women come from? Keep in mind this was only a side dish. Not only is the food amazingly delicious, but it's beautiful as well. The presentation is always flawless. One day, I may just have to attempt to make this.

My mouth is watering just thinking about these. They truly were amazing. I hope someday I can make some of the stuff that she does. Way to document this FAB dish.

Thanks, you make it all sound so wonderful. You neglect to mention that it was only we girls who were excited to put these together and eat them. The men didn't even look at them and then only took bites under duress. Definitely a girly food (at least in our family) -- but a delicious one!

I was going to comment on how good those looked until mom said that the men didn't like them. Now I feel like I have to give up my man card or something for even thinking that. Screw it, those look delicious. There I said it.
